This policy explains what information TextDiffHub ("we", "us") collects when you use textdiffhub.com and how it is used. The short version: the texts you compare never leave your browser.

Your Texts Stay Local

All diffing is performed client-side. The texts you paste into the two panes are normalized, compared with the Myers algorithm and rendered into the split or unified view entirely by JavaScript running on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and never stored. When you close or reload the tab, the comparison is gone.

This is a deliberate design decision: a diff tool is routinely fed source code, configuration files with credentials, and unpublished documents, and the only responsible architecture for that material is one where the server never sees it.

Information We Collect

• Text you paste: processed in your browser only. Not collected.
• Web server logs: our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) for security and operational purposes.
• Analytics: we may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand overall usage patterns.

Cookies and Advertising

We do not use cookies to operate the diff tool itself. The site may display advertising served by third-party networks (such as Google AdSense). These vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Third-party ad servers operate under their own privacy policies. We have no access to or control over the cookies they use.

Third-Party Services

The site loads static assets (fonts) from public CDNs and is hosted on a cloud platform. These providers process only the technical data required to deliver the page — never the content of your comparison.

Children's Privacy

TextDiffHub is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we collect almost nothing, such requests are usually simple — contact us at support@textdiffhub.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
